Men's camp boots
Interesting boots. Despite the outward appearance, these aren't heavy-duty hiking boots. they are very lightweight and the fit is more like a moccasin. I ordered mine somewhere around a half to a whole size larger than usual, and the fit was perfect but technically if I had ordered the exact size it also would have been perfect. it all depends on how much you want to "break them in", plus I threw a cushioned insert in mine and I hike with liner-socks so the extra room was needed.
I'm getting to be on the older side of things and I recall when boots and shoes made like this were more common in the 1960's and 1970's and these are probably the best shoes made in this style that I've had. The craftsmanship is excellent and the boots have no uneven edges or intrusions on your foot.
When I took them out of the box, they looked REALLY large like gunboats, but when I put them on the fit was perfect. several people have commented to me that they look uncomfortable but they are very comfortable.
Definitely a good purchase and I'm looking forward to putting some miles on them.
