Beware of extremely long lead times on MTO
The Boat Moc II MTO is a great shoe if you can get them . BEWARE of the 4-8 week lead times they give. Ordered a pair of brown with red bottoms in Sept of 2025. They were a Christmas gift for my son. It was late Feb. before they finally arrived. After inquiring a few times they told me they were out of the red soles and asked if I wanted another color sole. No, they were MTO. Could not understand why they would not order the red sole material. I mentioned they were a gift for my son for Christmas, they apologized and suggested that I take a picture from the website and wrap in box for him to open. Ordered a pair of blue with white soles for myself in Early Dec. 2025 Have reached out a few times inquiring when I can get them. Informed me they are out of blue leather and don't know when they will get more in. Stated they are going to order more blue leather but don't know when it will come in. Offered to refund me my money or change color on both orders. No, I ordered because I like the shoes and also because MTO allowed me to get the color combination I want. These guys used to be great at turn around and were close to the quoted delivery times. It's ashamed they don't seem to care about the MTO side as much as they once did. Lord knows they charge enough.
Don't get me wrong the shoes are great but either stock all the materials you advertise for the specific MTO and be truthful with turn around times. Who knows writing this review they may cancel my current order and send…
